Today the stock exchange is being affected by the economic conditions. We have
read, spoken, heard and exchanged ideas through various platforms on the repercussions of
today’s pandemic situation and its effects. Investors are taking a step back, with second
thoughts on investing in the stock market. This session will help us re-think, re-analyse, re-
strategize, and understand the demographics of stock selection. Hence Department of
Commerce conducted an international webinar on “Is Technical analysis Prime for Stock
selection?” on 25 th June 2020 in the college which was so essential for current pandemic.
The resource person Mr. Swaminath S, Asst. Professor, Govt. First Grade College,
Kengeri, Bengaluru. There were more than 400 participants registered and out of which 150
participated across India and abroad. The participants were from Russia, UAE and Japan.
The topic enlightened faculty members, academicians, students, research fellowships,
industrialists on investing in stock market and technicalities while investing. Overall the
webinar was a successful one.
