An Intercollegiate Media Fest
Loy-Madhyam in collaboration with B.A. organized ‘Jurno-2k18’, an intercollegiate media fest on 29th September, 2018, to provide young students a platform to showcase their journalistic caliber. Rev Fr Francis D'Almeida SJ, the Principal inaugurated the fest and declared it open. The venue for the inaugural ceremony was Loyola ITI hall and the valedictory ceremony was held at the quadrangle of Loyola PU College at 4:00 p.m.

Kristu Jayanthi College the Overall Champion

Around 300 students from 10 colleges participated in this intercollegiate media fest, SFS College, Silicon City’, Kristu Jayanthi College (Autonomous), T. John College, Christ University, VET College, Jyothi Nivas, AMC, SSMRV and Loyola Degree College.

There were fifteen events which kept the organizers and the participants busy and occupied. Mr Cibal Prems, Mr Roshan Honest Raj, Mrs Arti, Mr Binoy Peters, Dr Vincent and Ms Tanuja were the eminent judges for the day.

St. Francis De Sales College, the Runners-up

The Principal of the College Fr D’Almeida welcomed the gathering and stressed on the importance of participating in the intercollegiate fest. The competitions kick-started at 11:00 a.m., with the ‘Solo Singing’ competition in the ITI hall which was followed by the other events of the day. Organizers also provided sumptuous lunch for all the participants.

At the end of the day, the valedictory ceremony brought life and energy back into the exhausted participants as they were entertained with dances and songs. Kristu Jayanthi College (Autonomous) bagged the overall championship, and St. Francis De Sales was the runners up.

Fr. Almeida, the Principal and Dr. Vincent, the Vice Principal of the College gave over the trophies and certificates to the winners. The ‘Jurno-2k18’ concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lazarus Lepcha, the President of Loy-Madhyam and the coordinator of Jurno-2k18.
