World Environment Day

Loyola Degree College celebrated the World Environment Day on June 9, 2018, Saturday at 11 a.m. The day is actually celebrated on 5th of June but due to certain reasons the celebrations were postponed to the 9th June. The day started with an activity for the students where they had to identify the causes of the causes of pollution in the world. Many issues were raised up for the causes of pollution and its effects on the environment. Students were then given the task to take up any one of the listed issues and then enact it to the audience as a form of awareness play. They were also given the task to enact and show how one can solve these problems and save our environment for the next generation. All the students participated in this activity with Great Spirit to save our mother earth from the exploitation. The activity was concluded with the group song “You are my Sunshine” led by Mr. Lazarus Lepcha and team, along with all the students and staff in front of the college.
