Cleanliness is Next to Godliness: NSS One Day Camp to Mylansandra

As India adheres towards cleanliness, the National Service Scheme (NSS) association of Loyola Degree College, Bangalore adds a contribution to it as they cleaned up the premises of the Mylansandra Church on Saturday, April 26, 2018. A troop of 32 NSS, under the leadership of NSS Programme Officers Dr. Kumarswamy and Mrs. Thejaswini N, along with the Principal Fr. Francis D’Alemida SJ, gave a clean-up service as a part of NSS programme.

There were unwanted weeds, parthenium plants, plastic items, etc., which were littered in the church premises. The surrounding of the Church was cleared and made it a plastic-free zone, clean and clear premise. Our students put their efforts with a lot of enthusiasm and were energized throughout the day. They put their full efforts with dedication towards the goal which was meant for the day.

Students were provided with snacks and delicious lunch. The NSS in charge Dr.Kumaraswamy, Program Officer, Mrs.Thejaswini N, Asst. Program Officer, Principal Father Francis De Almeda, Mr. Ravikumar, Dept. Of Kannada, Mr.Ronson, Dept of Commerce, Mr. Lazurus Lepcha, Dept. Of Journalism, Mr.Navee Kumar, Dept. Of Physical Education, Mr. Phillip Neri, Dept of English, Mr. Sanjay, non-teaching staff were all present for the day and involved themselves in the activity with full zeal.
The College provided a bus for the students’ transportation.
